Wooden Doors & Main Doors

WOODZA makes 234 door designs in Ahmedabad and cuts every one of them to the opening you measure, rather than to a shelf size. This page is the way into the whole catalogue: the four collections below cover entrance doors, room doors, patterned designer leaves and high-gloss acrylic, and each one links through to every design in it.

Room doors from ₹3,020 · safety main doors from ₹9,500 · made to any size from 26x70 to 48x96 inches

Every WOODZA door is an engineered leaf: a kiln-seasoned core faced in laminate or acrylic, machined on a CNC bed so the groove depth is identical across the run. That construction is what lets a door stay flat through a Gujarat summer, and it is why the catalogue is organised by build rather than by room — a 32mm groove leaf works as a bedroom door or a study door, and the 38mm safety build is the one that belongs at an entrance.

Wooden Main Doors

A main door has a different job from every other door in the house: it is the one that has to look like the front of the home and also resist someone who wants in. WOODZA builds these at 38mm on a BWP marine-grade core with a CNC-cut steel grill behind the timber face, so the security is part of the leaf rather than a gate hung in front of it. 37 entrance designs are in stock pattern.

Modern Door Designs

Modern here means restraint: one laminate colour, and the whole design carried by the rhythm and depth of a CNC V-groove. These read as texture rather than pattern, which is why they age better in an interior than a motif does, and they are the range most often specified for bedrooms, studies and internal passages.

Designer Wooden Doors

The designer range is the largest in the catalogue — 88 geometric CNC layouts worked in two or more laminate colours on a single leaf. The colour break sits at a machined edge rather than being printed, so it stays crisp for the life of the door and reads as inlay from a metre away.

Teak Wood Doors

WOODZA does not sell solid teak planks, and it is worth being straight about why. A solid teak leaf moves with humidity, needs re-polishing, and costs several times what an engineered door does. What the atelier builds instead is a Burma-teak-toned face over a seasoned core: the grain and the warmth of teak, on a leaf that stays flat. The single-colour groove range is where those teak tones live, and the finish can be specified when you order.

Interior Wooden Doors

An interior leaf does not face weather, so the specification changes: 32mm rather than 38mm, no grill, and a face chosen to sit with the room rather than the street. Both groove collections are built for this, and the acrylic range is the one to look at when the door has to match high-gloss wardrobe or kitchen shutters in the same room.

Bedroom Doors

For a bedroom the useful question is groove spacing, not pattern. A plain vertical or horizontal groove gives the leaf texture without turning it into a feature wall, and it keeps the room quiet to look at. A 32mm seasoned core also carries more mass than a hollow flush door, which is the part that actually cuts corridor noise. Standard bedroom openings are 32x80 and 32x84 inches, both cut to measure.

Wooden Door Prices

Doors are quoted by area, so the price follows the opening rather than a size bracket. Multiply width by height in inches, divide by 144 for square feet, and apply the rate for the core you choose. Safety main doors are the exception — they are priced by width slab, because the grill and the ironmongery do not scale with area.

BuildRateTypical 32" × 84" leaf
Hardwood core, 32mm₹235 per sq ft₹4,390
Pinewood core, 32mm₹250 per sq ft₹4,670

How to Choose the Right Wooden Door

Start with where it hangs. An entrance takes the 38mm safety build; everything inside the house takes a 32mm leaf. That single decision removes most of the catalogue and is the one people most often get wrong, usually by putting an interior-weight door at the front.

Then measure the opening, not the old door. Frames settle, and a leaf cut to a warped door inherits the warp. Measure the clear opening at three heights and take the smallest.

Then pick the face. Laminate is the workhorse — it takes hand contact, cleans easily and does not show fingerprints. Acrylic is for rooms where gloss furniture is already the language. Busy patterns belong on a door you see from across a room; a passage door is better plain.

Finally, check the ironmongery before the design. A mortice lock needs stile width to sit in. If you are reusing existing handles or a smart lock, confirm the backset first — it is far easier than modifying a finished leaf.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the price of a wooden door in India?
WOODZA prices a door by its area rather than by a fixed size, so a narrow bathroom leaf does not cost the same as a wide entrance. Pinewood-core doors are ₹250 per square foot and hardwood-core doors ₹235 per square foot; a standard 32x84 inch leaf works out at 18.67 square feet. Safety main doors are priced by width slab instead, starting at ₹9,500.
Which wood is best for a main door?
For an Indian entrance the question is really about the core, not the face. A BWP marine-grade core does not delaminate when driven rain sits on the bottom rail, which is why every WOODZA safety door uses one. Solid teak is beautiful but moves with humidity and costs several times more; an engineered core with a teak-toned laminate face stays flat and takes the weather better.
What size is a standard door in India?
The most common leaf is 32x80 or 32x84 inches for internal rooms and 36x84 inches for a main entrance. WOODZA cuts anything from 26x70 up to 48x96 inches, so an existing frame can usually be matched without altering the opening.
How long does a made-to-size door take?
Doors are cut to the measured opening after the order is confirmed, so allow time for manufacture and crate freight rather than same-day dispatch. The atelier confirms the schedule with you when the size is finalised.
Do you deliver wooden doors outside Gujarat?
Yes. Doors ship in a timber crate across India from the Ahmedabad workshop. Local customers can also visit — see wooden doors in Ahmedabad for the studio address.
