Wooden Main Doors & Safety Doors

The entrance leaf is the one door in the house that has to be beautiful and hard to get through at the same time. These are 38mm leaves on a BWP marine-grade core with a CNC-cut steel grill behind the timber face, built for a main entrance that stays outward-facing through a Gujarat summer and a coastal monsoon.

How this collection is built

A main door carries its own weight for decades, so the core matters more than the finish. Marine-grade BWP ply does not delaminate when driven rain sits on the bottom rail, and the 38mm section takes a mortice lock body without weakening the stile. The grill is cut to the same design language as the face, so the door reads as one piece rather than a door with a gate bolted to it. Every leaf is cut to your measured opening.

Frequently asked questions

What thickness should a wooden main door be?
A main entrance leaf should be at least 35mm; WOODZA builds every safety door at 38mm. Below that the stile is too thin to house a mortice lock without losing strength, and the leaf is more likely to bow when one face sees sun and the other does not.
Do these main doors come with the frame?
The leaf is quoted on its own. Frames are made to the wall opening after site measurement, so they are quoted separately once the opening is confirmed.
